10 Life Lessons that Traveling can Teach You which School can’t!

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.

Has this quote a beautiful meaning isn’t?

From the years when I started traveling, I have found something new in me.  I found that I do the best thinking when I am traveling.

Travelling makes you speechless and then you become the storyteller. Away from all the chaos and confusion of life back home, checking your phone and texting and pushing yourself to succeed.

I found that I can sit, relax, can take out time for myself and philosophize. Travelling is all about train rides, plane journeys or bus commutes which just give me time to sit back stare from a window and think out of the box. Isn’t it an interesting job?

Being in a beautiful place or experiencing something which occurs once in a lifetime gives immense pleasure. The school is the best place to learn about academic knowledge but when it comes to learning about life the best is to learn through traveling.

In school, we are being taught about people, study materials, and every other thing. But traveling provides more valuable lessons about life, people as we experience it.

Whether you stroll through the streets of Paris or climb the trails in the Himalayas or spend the sunny afternoon on Caribbean beaches, travel will never fail as a teacher.

Many people think traveling is all about fun but it’s not true, everyone here agrees that best education occurs outside the classrooms. Teachers, friends, and textbooks are the ways through which we learn but these are not only one way, but traveling is the one which makes us learn about things that matter to us.

So, no matter how old are you whether you are a kid, teenager or adult, I truly believe that you can figure out the benefits from traveling.

1. You will Learn New Languages

English nowadays has become the common language and it works in all parts of the world but it is always better to learn the language of the place you are visiting. This way travel helps you learn various languages.

When you learn these languages through various modes, you can actually converse with the native members of the place you are visiting.

Travelling develops your listening and speaking capabilities. If you have already learned a language, traveling test your knowledge about the language in the real world scenario and make you aware about its accent, intonation, and slang in a practical way.

On the other hand, you are not only learning the language but you are also learning how to adapt to the new environment which will also look fascinating on your resume.

2. Learning a New Culture

Travelling is not only about going to another country, but also to different parts of your country as well and it is the best way to learn about unknown things of your country.

While traveling you will come to know about the culture of yours as well as other countries and you can very well differentiate between both the cultures.

There are differences in cuisines, etiquettes, and lifestyle across different cultures but you will also find some common things like love for art, nature and how our ancestors have bind all different culture together. You can actually learn salsa dance in Spain rather just reading about it.

You have the opportunity to experience it in a practical way rather than just going through books and classrooms.

3. Knowing About History

Everyone has learned about civilizations and major historical events in their classes, but nothing beats traveling as it gives you real experience about historical landmarks and you will get the chance to explore it in your way.

When you walk through the streets of museums, palaces, and galleries you will get historical pictures just in front of you. Most often, the history that we learn from books gets deviated from the ones which we observe practically. Travelling leads to the interaction of local people which will make you understand the history in more right manner.

4. Travel Leads to Depiction of Today’s World

Travels not only teaches about the world’s past but also as it is today, it tells about its political, social and economic scenario. Our views get reflected through media about the people and culture, but while traveling you will be able to make views which are not biased.

5. Experiencing Nature
